Tell us a bit about you and your business?
Hey, I’m Oli, and I own a business called Affluent Archives – your go-to place for buying and selling the best in pre-loved designer fashion.
How do you usually promote your business – any favourite trends or platforms?
I’m always keeping an eye on the hottest new brands and new releases from designer brands , I am very active on Instagram that’s where I post daily different engaging videos of myself displaying what I have in stock as well as just talking about my business and what I offer . I also use TikTok heavily at the moment as the engagement on that is a lot better than Instagram.
I try to post more personable videos on TikTok and try to get people talking more as I think it’s more of a personal platform whereas Instagram is more product / professional based.
How do you keep track of how your videos are doing and make changes based on feedback?
I always aim to put out the best content and invest heavily in videography and content days. I think creating content is possibly one of the biggest keys to a successful business nowadays. I don’t pay too much attention to how well they do I just consistently post videos and they seem to do pretty well and it has helped my business / socials grow.
What challenges have you run into while creating content for your business, and how did you tackle them?
Initially I thought spending money on studios / pro videography etc was a good idea but I can get just as good / engaging content with just my office space and sometimes more organic content does better as it feels less forced.
Where do you see your content and brand heading in the next few years?
Eventually I would like be in a bigger space and really invest in a great set up and get the majority of my content in house opposed to shooting in London / studios . I want to carry on growing my business and have a huge platform which produces great content and of course sells a lot of stock.
